The Germans quickly took control and led by five goals at half-time at 13-18. After the break, they further increased their lead. Germany were effective in attack, and their last chance David Spaeth stood firmly in goal. Juri Knorr (pictured below) hit all free throws and became the game’s top scorer with a total of nine goals. At full-time it was 25-34, and Germany is at the top of Group A with four out of four possible points after two games. Earlier tonight, Switzerland drew against France. With that, the Swiss secured their first point in the group stage, and are in third place in Group A. France is second with three points.
