Viggo Venn moves home to Norway – news Buskerud – Local news, TV and radio

When Viggo Venn won “Britain’s Got Talent”, comedian colleague Jonis Josef said that it was as if Skeid had won the Champions League in football. So basically impossible. But the Kongsberg man did it, and has since traveled around Europe with his yellow reflective vests. Now he packs them with him and moves home. – I have become an apartment owner, granted. Viggo Venn has acquired an apartment in Oslo. Klovnekjøp The 35-year-old has lived in a suitcase for many years. Not just a suitcase with clown equipment, for large parts of his life he has lived on the move. – Did you have nerves today, during the bidding round? – It is completely insane. After I went to clown school in 2016, I haven’t had a home. I have only traveled from festival to festival, and never drank the same coffee two days in a row. So getting your own hideaway, I’m so excited… – And maybe fun for those who today can say they’ve sold their apartment to a clown? – True. No one is going to believe it. Clown series In a week and a half he will be ready with a new series on news TV, “Viggo Venn follows the clown dream”. – It’s really cool to have been allowed to make it, and that news agreed to it is a miracle. I’ve been traveling around for the past year, so the viewers get to go to the Sydney Opera House there. And then we will try to make the world’s largest reflective vest. It will be a lot of fun. – I get into a bit of trouble, says Viggo, and teases what may come from the trip to Australia. Because the series is certainly as unpredictable as his life was, when Viggo set out on his journey. Viewers will see him go down to his 83-year-old clown teacher in France. – He always said that “a clown’s dream is the Sydney opera house. You have to go big, or go home”. Viggo Venn did not return home. Before now. – We are coming to Sydney, so the question is whether we will enter the opera house or not. Clown hunting The success in Great Britain led to Viggo Venn also becoming big in Norway. Now he wants to meet even more than those who crawl under his shirt. – I hope to reach some old ladies of 60, because I have noticed that they are really fans of me. That hand sneaks up on my lower back after my shows. At the same time, he is chairman of the jury for the Dream Grant 2025, where they will select the 50 young artists and cultural practitioners who next year will each receive a grant of NOK 30,000. – It is great to be able to contribute to clowns and jugglers being able to get a scholarship. I would not be where I am today without the cultural grant I eventually received. I know how important it can be. – What do you want to look for, apart from clowns? – I hope there are some oddballs applying, from far up north. After all, I was an outsider myself, who applied for a cultural scholarship in Kongsberg. But I got rejected the first time. Published 16.09.2024, at 18.36 Updated 16.09.2024, at 18.39
