Victor Norman was a prominent community voice and Conservative cabinet minister. He will be remembered for the government jobs he moved out of Oslo in 2003, when he was a minister in Kjell Magne Bondevik’s second government. As Minister of Labor and Administration, he had eight inspectorates and 900 jobs moved out of Oslo and to other cities in Norway. He also sat on several public committees on both sides of the turn of the millennium. Norman was also a columnist in Aftenposten and Dagens Næringsliv. He also published several books on economics and foreign trade. From 2011 to 2015, he sat on the city council in Bergen.
