Photo: The police A police patrol rushed to Vadmyra school near Laksevåg in Bergen after reports of an alarm going off at the site. When the patrol arrived, they saw that damage had been done to the school, in the form of food and spices that had been thrown outside, in addition to broken glass and rooting. They did not find any suspects at the scene. – The patrol describes “that it doesn’t look like there”. Food has been thrown and things have been broken, said operations manager Knut Dahl-Mickelsen on Friday evening. A dog patrol has been on the scene and carried out a search in the area. Vadmyra School is a municipal children’s school, and has room for 350 pupils. Many people have contacted to help with the clean-up, and the plan is to get as much done as possible on Saturday. Drawings that the students have made are also damaged. – Now we go in as a group and try to rescue as much as possible. The headmaster is concerned that the incident may have frightened the pupils. – It can be difficult for children to see familiar areas – their area – being vandalised. The school has not experienced similar vandalism in the past. – We have been very lucky and had little vandalism in the past. People have been encouraged to give a tip if they know anything about the case, on Saturday morning the police told news that no tip had come in.
