Vågard Unstad is dead – news Vestland

Bergens Tidende and Bergensavisen report on Saturday that the Bergen rapper Vågard Unstad has died. They get that confirmed by the family, through manager Leo Ajkic. Unstad was 36 years old. He is considered to be a pioneer in the Bergen hip-hop environment, which he has been a part of since his teens, writes BT. RAPPAR: Vågard Unstad was 36 years old. Moe / Gonzales Photo Sentral Unstad started the A-team back in 2006, together with Girson Dias and Petter Sundby (Store P). Later, Unstad was central in building up the Bergen company NMG/G-huset, which has functioned as an umbrella organization for other Bergen rappers. The A-team released two albums and several singles, performed at the South By South West festival in the USA, and warmed up for Snoop Dogg and The Game. The national breakthrough came in 2010 and in 2012 they received very good reviews for the EP DEDD Gåri. The A team worked closely with John Olav Nilsen and the gang, Fjorden Baby! and Lars Vaular. Unstad has also worked as a program director at news, for the improv/humor show “Spill meg”.
