The organization says that practically all of the children in Gaza now need mental health care. – They show symptoms of a high level of anxiety and lack of appetite. They cannot sleep and have emotional outbursts and panic every time they hear bombings, says Jonathan Crickx, spokesman for Unicef in the Palestinian territories, to Reuters. Before the war, Unicef estimated that around 500,000 Palestinian children needed mental health care and psychosocial support. – Today, we estimate that this applies to almost all children. And there are more than one million, says Crickx.
