The first Ukrainian soldiers, approximately one hundred in number, will arrive this spring at the Home Guard’s facility in Trøndelag. They will be here for five to six weeks before new Ukrainian contingents take over later in the year, says Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram to the newspaper. In the past, there have been a smaller number of Ukrainian soldiers on Norwegian soil, but only to receive training in the equipment Norway has donated. – The new thing is that we offer specialist training for Ukrainian soldiers in Norway, not just related to material. Now there will be training on sanitation, sharpshooting and a team driving course. This is a big contribution that will be visible, says Gram to DN.
