The Uighur Institute of Europe (iodine) and two members of the Uighter community filed a complaint against X, Monday, March 10, for “Genocide and moral harassment offenses”. The accusation denounces a “Series of acts of intimidation, harassment and repeated threats against members of the OUIGOU diaspora in France” from China.
Alongside iodine, an association which aims to bring to life the uighter culture within the diaspora, Dilnur Reyhan and Gulbahar Jalilova were individually associated with this complaint. The first, sociologist and founder of iodine, is targeted by a complaint from the China Embassy, while the second underwent a “Test of kidnapping or, at least, intimidation” In May 2024, when nine people, including at least one carrier of a service passport revealing an official role with China, went to the bottom of its Parisian building in a black van and would have taken a picture of their intercom before being controlled by the police.
