– Crime scene technicians have been investigating the crime scene since Monday evening. At the present time, we have no reason to believe that anything criminal has occurred. This is what police station chief Øystein Skottmyr tells Kragerø Blad Vestmar. It was at 11pm on Monday evening that the emergency services went to a home in Levangsheia. Family relationship Two women in their 20s and 60s were found lifeless at the scene, and they were pronounced dead by health personnel a short time later. The two have a family relationship, but Skottmyr will not tell NTB what type of family relationship is involved. Skottmyr says that they have no idea about the cause of death and that they will not be able to say anything about it until an autopsy report is available. The next of kin have been notified. – They are Norwegian citizens, and they are not known to us from before, says Skottmyr. Unknown cause of death He says that the emergency services moved out after receiving a report of concern from an acquaintance of one of the deceased, who had not been able to get in touch with the person concerned. – For now, we have no idea how long they have been dead, says Skottmyr. The police currently do not know anything about the cause of death and that they will not be able to say anything about it until an autopsy report is available. It is not clear when a preliminary autopsy report will be ready. – The case is being investigated as a suspicious death, but that is because we have two people here with an unknown cause of death, says Skottmyr.
