6 January 2023 at 00:01 Two to hospital after fire in Vålerenga block Two people have been taken to hospital and seven have been taken to the emergency room after a fire in a block of flats on Vålerenga in Oslo last night. There was a lot of smoke from the fire, which probably started in an apartment on the first floor of the five-storey brick block in Vålerenggata. During the extinguishing work, the police asked neighbors to keep windows and valves closed. The residents of the apartment that burned had got out before the fire brigade arrived, and the apartment was searched by smoke divers without finding anything. There were still people in the apartments above, duty commander Glen Gulbrandsen of the Oslo fire service told news.
