Three teenage boys were involved in an accident where a car ended up in the water after slipping on a slippery road on Monday evening. Two of the boys were flown to Haukeland University Hospital, but were confirmed dead on Tuesday afternoon. One of them managed to get out of the car, and was notified of the accident by telephone. news has spoken to the father of the teenager who got out of the car, Magnar Kro Baisgård. Photo: Privat Baisgård put on his jacket and made it to the scene while talking to the emergency services, just minutes after his son called. He is said to have stopped a car that drove past the scene of the accident. – I asked the driver if he was able to dive for the boys in the car. The son ran home to get a rope that the driver could wear to dive. – As he was getting ready to jump into the water, the fire brigade came, says the father. They were happy to turn on the moped. They were diligent and calm – there was never any nonsense with them, says Baisgård. – They were nice, friendly and had just started life. They had the future ahead of them. It reminds me how fragile life is – take care of it. The school has contacted the crisis team and has set up its own emergency response group after the accident. – Many of the school’s students are affected – both friends, siblings, family and football teammates, says the headmaster. But according to Tonstad, there should be no question of intoxication. – We know it was slippery on the road at the scene of the accident last night, but nothing in the case indicates that drug use is involved. They also have a separate scheme for the school classes where the people involved normally attend. At 5 p.m., the church opens for commemoration after the accident. – The municipality does everything in its power to ensure that those who live in uncertainty and have questions can feel well taken care of.
