13 June 2024 at 10:15 Two people from Sweden sentenced to death in Iraq Two men from Sweden have been sentenced to death in Iraq, writes the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. Three Swedish men have been remanded in custody in the country, suspected of complicity in the murder of a gang member. On 9 January, Mustafa “Benzema” Aljiburi was shot dead in Baghdad. Now two of them have been sentenced to death, writes the newspaper. The third man has been sentenced to prison for three years. Swedish police have not been given access to the investigation.
