8 March 2024 at 09:56 Two men charged after Norwegian woman died in Spain Two men have been arrested, charged with having played a role in the death of Anne Mathea Morken (21) from Ringebu in Torremolinos in Spain last autumn. According to the Spanish newspaper Sur, the men are said to have dumped her on the street after she died of an overdose. Spanish police have not yet concluded whether she has taken the drug voluntarily, or whether she has been tricked into taking it. Sur writes that the police’s hypothesis is that Morken must have met the two accused in Fuengirola, and went home with them. The police believe that she died at their home, and that they then drove her to the neighboring town of Torremolinos, where they left her on the street. Gudbrandsdølen Dagningen mentioned the case first. Both those arrested are originally from Senegal. One was arrested in Madrid, when he was caught with false identification when trying to get to Portugal by bus. The other was arrested in Tangier in Morocco two days after Morken was found dead.
