This is stated by Økokrim in a press release on Wednesday. They are charged with serious fraud over NOK 47 million. According to Økokrim, the men ran an association, and thus received grants from the ministries. – The fraud against the ministries is extensive. This type of crime contributes to undermining aid work in Norway and weakens our trust-based system, says Økokrim prosecutor Henrik Horn in the press release. One man is from Innlandet and the other from Nordland. In a press release, the ministries state that they are satisfied with the indictment. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says they will also demand compensation from the defendants.
