The battle between two larger groups is said to have started in Skipperstuen in Bergen. Several people were seen running from the place when the police arrived, says operations manager Jørgen Ommedal in the West police district to news. – One person was caught by the police and taken into custody. Another person was arrested outside Brann Stadion on the basis of descriptions. There are two men in their 20s from the Bergen area. Both are now in custody. Masked men According to Ommedal, no one was seriously injured, but a staff member at the outhouse has been sent to the emergency room. Bar manager Kristian Belsnes at Skipperstuen says it happened when a bartender tried to calm the mood. – Then she was knocked down from behind by someone she didn’t see. The row is said to have started when a group of masked men entered the pub. – They went straight on and stormed in. In the end, there was a mass fight with probably 30-40 people. It looked like a war zone. He thinks it’s unreal that something like this can happen at his workplace, and thinks it’s terrible that other guests end up in the middle of such a commotion. – Older guests sit here and are terrified and say it is the worst thing they have experienced in their entire lives. Collaborating with the police The management of Sports Club Brann calls the behavior of the involved supporters reprehensible. – We are aware that several of our supporters have been involved in a fight in the city center before the game tonight. We completely distance ourselves from all types of violence and this behavior is unacceptable, says the daily manager of Brann, Christian Kalvenes to Brann.no. He says the club is working closely with the police to get an overview of what has happened. – What consequences this will have for the supporters involved, we will come back to when we have a full overview of the situation, he says.
