But they do not say why they stop access to the social media, or how long the ban applies. The blocking takes place a few days after Fahrettin Altun, who is the spokesperson for the Turkish president, criticized Instagram for blocking messages of condolence after the murder of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. Instagram owner Meta has not commented on either the blocking or the criticism from Altun, writes Reuters.
