At first this was referred to as a new ministry, and Trump also calls it the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), but despite the name, it is not a public government agency, according to the AP news agency. In a press release from Trump’s transition staff, Musk and Ramaswamy will work outside the public administration to provide the White House with advice and guidance. Elon Musk (53), who has founded Tesla and Space X, among other things, is the world’s richest man. Vivek Ramaswamy (39) is an American businessman who, among other things, has made his money from biotechnology. Musk says in a post on X that all the work they will be doing will be posted online, for maximum transparency.
