The driver of a lorry was seriously injured after a lorry overturned on a construction site at Langangen in Porsgrunn. The truck hangs with the front over a cliff. – The driver has suffered crushing injuries, says operations manager Erik Ullhaug Olsen. The police received a report about the incident just before 7pm on Monday. Picked up by air ambulance The driver was awake and alert after the accident, but it is unclear what happened. – We are working to get an overview of the sequence of events, says Olsen. The driver was treated by health personnel at the scene and has now been transported to Telemark Hospital in an ambulance. The air ambulance was called but had to cancel due to the weather conditions. Securing the lorry E18 at the Langangen bridge was closed for a period as a result of the accident. The accident site is in a construction area in connection with the construction of the new E18. A tow truck is on site to secure the truck.
