* Arfan Qadeer Bhatti is a Norwegian citizen with a Pakistani background. He has been convicted several times, including for threats, blackmail and violence. * In 2008, Bhatti was convicted of complicity in damage to the synagogue in Oslo in 2006, but acquitted of the charge of terrorist planning. * Bhatti traveled to Pakistan at the end of 2012 and was reported missing by his family in January 2013. The following autumn he was arrested and imprisoned in Pakistan, but was released again in August last year. * Voluntarily returned to Norway in January 2015. Arrested on arrival and charged with violence against his ex-wife and the two eldest children, aged six and eight, but the police did not agree to remand. * Accused of beating the children in connection with Koran reading in 2012, and of resisting arrest the same year. * Acknowledged rising when the trial opened in the Oslo District Court. * Sentenced to ten months in prison for domestic violence in 2015. Four months suspended. * On 8 January 2016, he was sentenced to 14 days in prison in the Oslo District Court for throwing or pushing his wife against the edge of the bed so that she suffered severe pain in her ribs. * On 30 April of the same year, the Supreme Court rejected the appeal. The sentence of 14 days in prison for violence against the spouse was thus upheld. * In May 2017, Bhatti was detained in connection with the discovery of weapons. He was then charged with breaching the Weapons Act. He was detained for three months in connection with the charge, which was later dropped. * In 2018, the state had to pay him compensation of almost NOK 120,000. Bhatti believed he was unjustly persecuted by the police. * Has been in Pakistan since May this year. * Has been in contact with terror suspect Zaniar Matapour ahead of the mass shooting in Oslo. * On 14 June 2022 posted pictures and text on Facebook that called for the murder of homosexuals. * Was wanted on 23 September and charged with complicity in a terrorist act.
