Local health authorities initially reported that around 70 people were injured. The figure was updated a little later: 150 people are said to have received minor injuries, while 5 people have received less serious injuries. 3 people have been sent to hospital, but according to the health authorities, no one is in a serious condition. The trains collided at Montcada station in Reixac outside Barcelona at 07.50, writes the newspaper La Vanguardia. According to the newspaper El Mundo, the accident happened when one of the trains ran into the other which had stopped at the station. This was full of passengers, and the collision caused many to fall.
