Dyrhaug is also known from her role as general manager in Rosenborg, something she has been since 2013. In addition, she has been part of the ski board of the Norwegian Ski Association for ten years. There were three female candidates who were relevant to take over the job of Erik Vote and become ski president. Dyrhaug, Katharina Rise and Kristin Vestgren Sæterøy were the candidates to become the new president. Dyrhaug is also known from her role as general manager in Rosenborg, something she has been since 2013. In addition, she has been part of the ski board of the Norwegian Ski Association for ten years. She was the nomination committee in the Ski Association’s recommendation, and she was considered the favorite to become the new president. – She is the one who is the best candidate overall. She has shown she is a unifying leader, popular and has a twinkle in her eye, but gets things done, said the election committee’s leader Sverre Seeberg before the election. In addition, the nomination committee proposed Aage Schaanning as vice president. They think he would fit in well with Dyrhaug, and that it was also an advantage that he came completely from outside. He is a former active cross-country skier. Three new board members were also proposed. – We must acknowledge that there are things we need to get better at. Then we must have change and renewal. NSF is a demanding organization, so it must be coordinated. When everyone wants change, we must stand together and do it, Dyrhaug said on stage before the election. Rise is the candidate promoted by Østfold ski district. She has a background as a lawyer and public prosecutor, and the ski district highlighted just this. But she is also a well-known figure in Ski-Norge. She has led both the so-called asthma committee – under the auspices of the cross-country committee – and the committee that looked at the handling of the Clas Brede Bråthen conflict. Rise pointed out that the lawyer in her is concerned with laws and rules, which she will use to her advantage. – We have a big job ahead of us. I am strongly motivated to lead this work. The world needs many happy skiers in the years and generations to come. Together we must succeed, she said on stage. Sæterøy, which was the third candidate, was promoted by Buskerud ski district. She is a former general manager of Holmenkollen Ski Festival. She was also proposed by the same ski district to the nomination committee, but they eventually landed on Dyrhaug. Buskerud ski district, for its part, believed that the choice of Dyrhaug does not provide sufficient change in the management of the Ski Association. Sæterøy herself thought it was an advantage that she had seen skiing and connected from the outside. – I will give 100 percent to solve and be a ski president. We need someone who has seen the sport from the outside. Let’s think of a course, and let’s do it together, she said.
