Tourist bus on wild roads in Oslo – Greater Oslo

– The bus is stuck, and tram traffic is closed in both directions, says operations manager at the Oslo Police, Bjørn Gunnar Nysæter. A foreign tourist bus followed the tram tracks on Friday instead of the road in Oslo. After driving the Trondheimsveien up towards Sinsen, the journey ended in a culvert on the way under the Sinsenkrysset. Complicated to remove the bus – At one point in Trondheimsveien, the tram rails go down into an underpass under a large roundabout, and there the bus is stuck, say the police. None of the tourists were injured in the incident, but the bus must be recovered from the scene. At first the fire and rescue service tried to do it. – But it was too difficult for them to make it happen, says press officer in Ruter, Knut Martin Løken. Now they have ordered tow trucks. – It is on its way, but I cannot imagine that this will be resolved very quickly. Ruter emphasizes that it is difficult to know how long this will take, and asks tram travelers to prepare that it will probably take a while. WORKING AT FULL SPRING: Many agencies are working to free the bus, but it won’t budge. At 20.00 the bus is still stuck in the same place. – The bus is still there, that one. It is a bit complicated to get it out of there. So the bus is standing where it was, says Nysæter in the police. Car traffic is, so to speak, unaffected, but tram traffic is completely closed in both directions. – There is no tram service between Grefsen and Nybrua, says Løken in Ruter. This means that the following seven tram stops are not served by trams now. Sinsenkrysset Sinsen terrace Rosenhoff Carl Berners plass Sofienberg Lakkegata school Heimdalsgata – There are now four “buses for trams” that commute between these stops, says Løken. Only tram 17 is affected by the incident. Photo: Zhilwan Manbari / news Published 27.09.2024, at 19.51 Updated 27.09.2024, at 20.12
