Tom Emmer, who earlier on Tuesday evening was nominated as the leader candidate in the House of Representatives, is resigning, several American media reports. Emmer is the third Republican candidate to try to take over after former leader of the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy was ousted a few weeks ago.
