1 September 2022 at 06:16 Today the toll rates increase From today it will be more expensive to drive through the tolls in Oslo. The state, Oslo and Viken agreed on new tariffs in the Oslo package 3 agreement this spring. You can read how much you have to pay here. If you live outside Oslo and work within the original toll ring, the price increase will be around NOK 300 a month. The exception is electric cars outside rush hour, where the price jump is around NOK 400 a month. Electric cars get the biggest price increase in percentage, but petrol and diesel cars still have to pay on average twice as much as electric cars. It is still most expensive to drive a diesel car during rush hour. Until now, it has been somewhat cheaper in the inner ring than in the Oslo ring and the barriers on the city border. Starting today, the price will be the same. Today’s price jump is the first of two rate hikes that were adopted before the summer, the second will take place on 1 January 2024. Altogether, the rates will be about 40 per cent higher on average. Today’s increase is the larger of the two.
