Tjelta, Rudjord and Skarbø respond to women’s health criticism – news Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

Vanessa Rudjord and Synnøve Skarbø comment on the criticism against them and actress Pia Tjelta in the last episode of the podcast “Synnøve and Vanessa”. – Just to clarify it once and for all – we have never meant that beauty treatments are women’s health, says Synnøve Skarbø in the podcast. – We want to say sorry to everyone we have disappointed and hurt, she continues. They claim that a draft of a press release was sent to VG by mistake. The press release contained quotes that were not approved. – The more we say, the more this debate will derail. And that is the last thing we want, says Rudjord. – It has been a horrible week, she says further. – Tabbe Duoen says that they wanted to offer treatments that were not on the market in Norway, or that were difficult to access in the public sector, which deal with health challenges for women. – We were so proud of that that we couldn’t stop talking about it. And it was a mistake, says Skarbø. She says they have read through practically everything that has been written to and about them in the last few days. – Believe me, we have absorbed everything, says Skarbø. Pia Tjelta also speaks out on Wednesday. She apologizes on her own Instagram account. – How wrong is it possible to make? Very. Is it possible to correct mistakes you make? I hope so, writes Tjelta on Instagram. She says she has spent the week acknowledging that she, as a visible profile in the public eye, has a special responsibility, especially towards vulnerable groups. – That is why I chose to resign. I am sorry that I did not see my responsibility clearly enough, she writes further. Withdrawn from the collaboration On Tuesday afternoon, the trio sent out a press release stating that they are withdrawing from the collaboration with the beauty clinic Nomi Oslo. By then, six days had passed since they sent out a press release and appeared in a launch interview in Dagens Næringsliv where they launched the clinic. The beauty founders were quickly criticized for mixing the term “women’s health” together with offers for fat reduction, hair removal and skin treatment. – We are sorry for the way the term women’s health was used in connection with the launch. Women’s health and aesthetic medicine are two different things, and we apologize to those who have been upset by this mix-up, wrote Rudjord, Skarbø and Tjelta in the press release on Tuesday. The three have so far not responded to repeated interview requests from news. They announced in the press release on Tuesday that they would “expand their decisions at a later date”. Responsible physician Karim Sayed takes over the shares and the financial obligations in the company.
