14 March 2023 at 10:33 Three soldiers exposed to hypothermia during exercise Three soldiers stationed at Sessvollmoen camp, close to Oslo Airport, were exposed to hypothermia/hypothermia on 21 January this year during an exercise in a cold pool at Råholt Bad. The Norwegian Accident Investigation Board reports this in a press release. The National Accident Investigation Board (SHK) has launched a safety investigation into the incident. The soldiers belonged to the garrison company of the Armed Forces’ competence center for logistics and operational support (FKL) at the Armed Forces Logistics Organization (FLO). The company carried out a mastering exercise for the soldiers which, among other things, involved a stay in a cold pool, reports the National Accident Investigation Board. The three soldiers suffered varying degrees of cooling (hypothermia), and were eventually taken care of by qualified personnel and regained body temperature.
