Three people charged with the murder of Stian Hole in Hamarøy – news Nordland

The arrest took place after a police operation on Tuesday, the police write in a press release. – We have arrested and charged three people with murder, or complicity in murder. One of these three is the same person who has been charged with murder since this summer, and one of the people has been charged with false testimony in the case from approximately the same time period, says police attorney Torje Imøy in the Nordland police district. Last observed this summer The last confirmed sighting of Stian Hole was on 7 June 2023 at Storjord in Hamarøy municipality, and Hole was reported missing to the police on 9 June 2023. Since then, the police have followed all leads in the search for missing persons, and the case has been investigated broadly based on several hypotheses about what may have happened to Hole, says Imøy. One person was charged this summer with murder or complicity in murder, and another person was charged with false testimony. Wide range of investigators The three accused will all be produced for remand. – This is a serious matter where the police have carried out extensive searches for a missing person for over five months, while at the same time we have investigated whether the missing person may have been subjected to a criminal offence. It is the sum of several things which means that the police have now made arrests and that those arrested are being produced for remand, says police attorney Imøy. He emphasizes that the case is still being investigated broadly based on several hypotheses about what may have happened to Hole.
