24 June 2023 at 16:53 Ukrainian authorities: Three killed in Russian attacks in Kyiv Three people were killed and eleven wounded in a Russian rocket attack against the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on the night of Saturday, the prosecutor’s office in the city says. A high-rise block in the Solomjanskyj district was hit in the attack, and three floors were damaged. A dozen parked cars were also hit by the explosion, and a rescue operation was launched. The rocket attacks are described as some of the most powerful to have hit Kyiv recently. Since Russia’s invasion last February, the Ukrainian capital has been regularly attacked by rockets and drones. Ukrainian air defense has shot down many of the rockets. Explosions were also reported in the cities of Kharkiv, Dnipro and Kremenchuk on Saturday, according to Ukrainian sources. (NTB)
