5 August 2024 at 10:26 Threat situation in Bodø – warning shots fired The police fired two warning shots in connection with a threat situation in Rønvika in Bodø on Monday morning. – There was a person walking and waving a knife. The police came to the scene and the person did not want to put the knife down, but began to direct attention to the police, says Kai Eriksen at the police operations centre. The police were notified of the incident at 09:50. According to the police, the situation must have worsened and the person would not comply with the police’s order to put down the bread knife. The police therefore had to fire two warning shots. – The person eventually gave up the knife and was taken care of. No one was injured and the person concerned is now being helped by health personnel who also came to the scene, says Eriksen.
