Philips has just announced the launch of a new ultra-compact projector that sets up in seconds to display images up to 80 inches . Here are all the details.
Screeneo Innovation SA, the brand licensing partner for Philips projectors, has unveiled the NeoPix 150 , a new portable projector designed to deliver a 360° cinema experience . It joins the recently available NeoPix 230 Smart .
This model weighs less than 1 kg and features a compact format of 126 x 208 x 144 mm . It has a 180-degree rotating foot to find the ideal angle based on your room’s configuration, offering a Full HD image up to 80 inches diagonally , whether on a wall or ceiling.
Best Used in Darkness
With a brightness of 250 ANSI lumens , it is designed primarily for use during the evening or in very low-light environments. The LED light source promises a lifespan of 30,000 hours and boasts a silent operation.
On the connectivity front, it lacks an integrated platform like Google TV , Fire TV , or other smart systems (unlike the NeoPix 230 Smart). It must be powered through an external source via the HDMI input. However, it supports screen mirroring through Wi-Fi for streaming content from a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. A USB-C to HDMI cable is included in the box, allowing for a direct connection to mobile devices.
Regarding connectivity options, the USB port not only allows the reading of content from a USB stick (supporting various image, photo, and video formats) but also powers streaming keys like Google TV or Amazon Fire Stick (connected via the HDMI port), making it particularly versatile. Additionally, there is a 3.5 mm audio mini-jack output for headphones. The projector is equipped with two 3W speakers for audio output.
Moreover, the NeoPix 150 features a keystone correction function and a manual focus option for fine-tuning the image clarity.
What About the Competition?
The NeoPix 150 enters a highly competitive market of compact and portable projectors . Among alternative models that are slightly more expensive yet more feature-rich and include platforms such as Google TV or Tizen , one can find the Dangbei N2 Mini , which is almost equally affordable, or the Xgimi MoGo 3 Pro , which offers Full HD resolution , higher brightness, and quality integrated audio. The Dangbei Freedo is another enticing competitor due to its built-in battery and advanced features, while Samsung The Freestyle (2nd generation) stands out with its unique design and an interactive interface that allows for flexible installation.

Lastly, the Nebula Capsule Air is also noteworthy for its ultra-compact size and user-friendly design. Compared to these options, the NeoPix 150 focuses on ease of use and is oriented towards a truly family-friendly and portable experience. Its limited brightness, however, makes it best suited for dark environments . It caters to users looking for an affordable and easy-to-transport solution, despite lacking the advanced functionalities or brighter performance of pricier competitors.
Availability and Price
Indeed, the NeoPix 150 from Philips also plays the price card , as it is available for just 169 euros on Amazon and in the official Philips store.
