This is how Malin Olsvik Wollstad found the Christmas packages from Helt hjem scattered in the middle of the night – news Møre og Romsdal – Local news, TV and radio

There are many people who are anxiously waiting for Christmas presents in the post just before Christmas. But some of the parcels can go on a bit of a round trip before they reach the home of the right recipient. When Malin Olsvik Wollstad came home from a party on the night of Saturday and saw all the packages lying on the ground outside the gas station, her jaw dropped. – I got a bit of a shock. If people order Christmas presents that cost a bit, it’s sick that they end up lying outside the petrol station, she says. The sight of the packages made her and her sister stop the car and get out to take a closer look. There they found several packages with names she knows from the area. Malin Olsvik Wollstad is not satisfied with the way the packages were strewn outside the local petrol station at the weekend. Photo: private – Particularly surprised and disappointed The packages on the ground were on their way from senders all over the country to recipients in Haram on Sunnmøre. The goods were ordered via Helthjem, and with Polaris Distribution as responsible for the delivery. Regional manager Geir Follestad in Polaris regrets what has happened and says they are now going through the routines. – I am extremely surprised and disappointed that the packages were left open in this way. Whether it’s Christmas presents or other things, people should be able to feel confident that their packages will be handled safely, says Follestad. Follestad says the responsible driver has laid low, and that the case will have an internal aftermath. The packages must have been outside the petrol station for about an hour, before they were picked up and sent on. He is not aware of anyone having lost anything as a result of the incident. Regional manager Geir Follestad in Polaris regrets what has happened. Photo: private Press manager Marius Evensen at Helthjem confirms that the package delivery clearly broke the routines. – We understand that people react, it is very boring with such matters. The driver probably didn’t know the routines well enough and was unlucky, says Evensen. He says the company itself takes part of the responsibility for the lack of training. Not the first time Marius Mauseidvåg ran the gas station where the packages were strewn. He says all the packages must be locked in a plastic box outside the petrol station before they are forwarded. He does not know what has happened, but says it is not the first time this has happened. – It is clearly unacceptable, he says. An extra box will now be set up to ensure that there is plenty of space for all packages before Christmas. This post was posted by Malin Olsvik Wollstad on Facebook Saturday morning. Photo: Screenshot from Facebook – No wonder people miss packages The day after Malin Olsvik Wollstad saw the packages strewn about, she published a Facebook post in which she explained what had happened. Here she writes, among other things, that the packages looked like they had been thrown from her, and that she does not think it is strange if packages disappear in this way. Now she hopes it won’t happen again. – It cannot be like this, I hope that the routines will improve, because this is not right, she says.
