What is the best thing you want to bring out about each other? Niklas: Ronny’s mood, definitely. He is the kindest person in the world. During our 13-year friendship, he has been angry a handful of times. Ronny: Niklas has an invulnerable energy. He enters every situation with a good energy. Many people think that it is a pleasure to experience things with Niklas. He simply has a crazy attitude to life. What is the most annoying thing about each other? Niklas: It’s Ronny’s mood. He is so annoyingly cheerful that I almost think it is a disease. If something goes wrong, and you feel a resistance in everyday life, he laughs and smiles, while I cheer myself up. Ronny: I don’t think Niklas annoys me that much. But he’s a pretty bad loser in board games, and can generally get very fired up when it comes to competitive things. The radar pair led P3 Gold in 2015. Is there anything you think is strange about each other? Niklas: Ronny can’t handle the taste of corn. It’s absolutely amazing that he loves tacos but hates corn! It is strange. Ronny: Niklas has become very keen on wine, and it’s a bit strange for someone who was more of a coffee-with-Baileys type before. Now he makes wine recommendations – and it’s actually very good red wine. What’s the craziest thing you’ve done for each other? Niklas: We organized each other’s bachelor parties. We are both happy to take it all the way out, and spared no expense. Ronny’s bachelor party had beer as its main theme, and then there was a beer bus, beer vats and many different bars during a two-day event in Budapest. Ronny: I think it is both crazy and beautiful that we have been given the honor of being each other’s fiance. Last year I had the honor of standing by his side, and this year he stood by my side at my wedding. It is very nice. Ronny was the fiancé of Niklas, who married Benjamin Silseth. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done? Niklas: It must be when we went to a Ping-Pong show on a boys’ trip to Bangkok. So it was a sex show where naked women put things inside their vaginas. It wasn’t sexy, it was just sad. Or we did a lot of wild stunts when we worked together in P3, like when we had to drink our own urine during the P3 action in Trondheim in 2014. Niklas and Ronny drank their own urine during the P3 action in 2014. Ronny: I remember that time very well me and Niklas were new colleagues, and he invited me on a trip with the Danish boat. Then I remember us sneaking into the outdoor pool on the deck at night. We took a few beers with us, sneaked through corridors and bathed while looking out over the Oslo Fjord at sunrise. It was highly illegal, but a wonderful memory. Is there something you feel guilty about? Niklas: It must be all the times I’ve persuaded him to have an extra beer. He’s not too bad to ask, and there’s always more than one more beer. Ronny: I feel a little guilty that we don’t meet more often. But then it’s very nice when we first meet. Ronny and Niklas always have just as much fun together. Photo: Privat What do you come up with together? Niklas: My husband and I are going to dinner at Ronny and his family’s house. After Ronny had a child, we eat tacos, drink beer and goof around. That’s what toddler life allows. Otherwise, we try to go to joint parties together. Ronny: We share a passion for good food, so when we meet, it’s often good food – whether it’s at home or we’re on a trip together. What’s so nice about our friendship is that we always think the same about what we want to do. So we are very similar. Who is the best friend? Niklas: It’s Ronny. I’m in a different league than him, I’d say. Ronny is so attentive, gets details and is always kind. So there I just have to bow in the dust. You don’t get a better friend than Ronny. Ronny: We’re both just right. I think that is an impossible question to answer. We have a good relationship, and although I should probably take more initiative, it is still the case that we are busy at the same time. What type of friend are you? Niklas: I am generous, although I may be difficult to get hold of because I work too much. But I am tolerant and extremely non-judgmental. So I hold everything for a friend, so to speak. Ronny: I hope I am a caring person who is nice to share both ups and downs with. For me, it’s about just having a beer with someone I really like, and that gives me so much energy. What wouldn’t you do for each other? Niklas: I wouldn’t jump in front of a bullet for Ronny, I’m saving that for marriage. But otherwise I would do most things. Ronny: Niklas would probably have made me do most of the work. But if he had asked if I could go to a long and boring seminar for him, I wouldn’t have bothered. But I could stretch myself very far – but not sacrifice my life. Catch “The World’s Best Friends” every Saturday at 19:50, and whenever you want on news TV.
