He is good friends with both families who were affected by the tragic accident on Friday where two men lost their lives on Friday. The brothers-in-law Harald Langenes (56) and Walter Steffensen Wassertheurer (65) went out by boat to pull lobster stones, but did not return at the agreed time. – They would never go out if they were in doubt. So something unforeseen must have happened, says Lauvsland, who first told Fædrelandsvennen about his friends. Long-time friends The brothers-in-law married each of their sisters on the same day in 2006 when they had a double wedding. – They married together and they died together, says Lauvsland to FVN. Har says that he speaks in the media at the request of the surviving spouses. – They think it is important to show that these were experienced recreational fishermen who did not take unnecessary chances, says Lauvsland. He also says that the bereaved want to thank them for all the consideration and support they have received from family and friends in recent days. Working to find out what happened The police have opened an investigation case after the tragic accident to try to find out what happened. Operations manager Eivind Formoe in the Agder police district confirms this. According to fvn.no, the police have now examined the boat used by the two deceased. It had no major, visible damage. – The boat has been taken ashore, and we have carried out some investigations on it. It will later be considered whether an investigation should be carried out in the case, says Formoe.
