The Norwegian film festival is well under way and the stage is set for the highlight, namely the Amanda Prize. Prizes will be awarded in 19 categories, in addition to Æres-Amanda, Gullklapper and People’s Amanda being awarded. Ellos eatnu – Let the river live is the most nominated film with eight nominations. Close behind follows Krigsseileren with seven nominations. Kristine Kujath Thorp and Pål Sverre Hagen have been nominated for best female and male actor for the third year in a row. The other two nominees were Ane Skumsvoll for Storm and Anna Filippa Hjarne for Forbannelsen. – Every once in a while you are allowed to take part in creating something that feels a little more important than other things, said Wilmann when she thanked for the award. The actor especially thanked Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen, who played the main role in the film. The other nominees were Leon Tobias Slettbakk for Krigsseileren and Henrik Rafaelsen for Natt. Best short film The short film Superdupermegagigasingel won this category. In addition, Havnejjefen and Complications were nominated. Best screenplay The award for best screenplay went to Kristoffer Borgli for Syk piker. The other nominees were Titina and People and robbers in Kardemomme by. Best sound design Espen Rønning and Bent Holm won the award for best sound design for Kampen om Narvik. Best visual effects The winner of the award for best visual effects was Arne Kaupang, Alexander Kadim v/Varg Studios, Anette Gjertsen v/Stardust Effects, Lars Erik Hansen v/Gimpville, Kai Kiønig Bortne v/Storyline Studios and Morten Jacobsen v/Storm Studios for The battle for Narvik. Gullklapperen – The winner has had his films in recognized festivals such as Cannes and Sundance, said Thomas Robsahm when he presented the award to the film production company Motlys.
