It is absolutely fantastic to be allowed to be here now, she says exuberantly. Temperature just below 30 degrees It is Southern and Eastern Norway that will be this week’s weather winner, if you like sun and heat. – A high pressure helps to make this part of the country feel very good. Both in Northern Norway and in Western Norway, it may be a good idea to find an umbrella, and perhaps a woolen jumper. – They will get some low pressure activity. That is, they will get bad weather. It is inner Telemark and inner Buskerud that will experience the week’s highest temperatures. – We will soon see temperatures just below 30 degrees during the week, in some places in the interior, says Gislefoss. In addition, calm wind conditions mean that there can be nice days at sea this week. Tropical night This will then be one of the few tropical nights in southern Norway so far this year. Previously, among other things, Stavanger had a tropical night on 20 July, and on the night of 1 July it was 20.2 degrees at Hovin in Oslo, according to the Meteorological Institute. A tropical night has over 20 degrees from 8pm in the evening until 8am the next morning. – It could quickly happen this week. A typical place is Færder, at the far end of the Oslofjord. The cloud cover also comes into play. A few clouds at night do their part to keep the temperatures from dropping so much. – The clouds act as a kind of quilt, which prevents the heat from escaping. According to the meteorologist, it is most likely that there will be a tropical night around the coastal stations Færder, Strømtangen and Svenner closer to the weekend. Whereas from Telemark and further south it does not get as hot at night. The risk of forest fires increases. Sun, heat and little rainfall also cause it to become dry. Towards the weekend, the meteorologists are preparing to issue a forest fire warning. – At the moment it is wet enough in nature, but this is continuously assessed every day.
