We have tried to be constructive in this process, says Helle Christin Nyhuus, leader of the Norwegian Association of Lecturers. Stepping up the strike The Norwegian Association of Lecturers is disappointed that it is not possible to get further after 112 days of conflict, they write in a press release. – This is a very serious situation, and we are very sorry that we were not able to finish this weekend either. We are experiencing an employer who has not taken this strike or the grounds for the strike seriously, says Nyhuus. This means that the strike will continue. Tomorrow, September 26, the strike will be stepped up with walkouts at Thor Heyerdahl high school and Ås high school. – Our members are still motivated and believe that this is an important battle for the future of the school. At the same time, we are strongly affected by all students who do not receive tuition. KS must take its share of the responsibility for this, says Nyhuus.
