20 September 2022 at 15:01 The Norwegian Road Administration has found faults on two wooden bridges In connection with the inspection of closed wooden bridges, the Norwegian Road Administration has found possible faults and deficiencies on the Norsenga bridge on the E16 and the Flisa bridge on county road 206. They write this in a press release. It was after the Tretten bridge collapsed on 15 August that the Swedish Road Administration closed 14 bridges of a similar type. – So far, in our investigations, we have found possible errors and deficiencies in the design of the E16 Norsenga bridge and county road 206 Flisa bridge when they were built. This may apply to several of the other closed bridges, but we do not know for sure now. This is now being worked on fully to check with both our own and external forces, says section head Gunnar Eiterjord in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. The Norsenga bridge has been opened with traffic restrictions, while the opening of the Flisa bridge has not yet been clarified. – Norsenga is safe with the load that we have opened up for now. No bridges are reopened to traffic unless we are completely sure of the load they will be subjected to, emphasizes Eiterjord.
