It was last December that the wrestler Morten Thoresen, who has long been known as toothless, lost his second front tooth during a wrestling match at Lambertseter. As the season was in full swing, Thoresen has not had time for thorough dental visits. Now it is only the WC before the season is over. READY FOR THE WC: Morten Thoresen. Here from Fight Night in August. I just want a tooth, but it’s obviously not possible, says Thoresen to news. Fortunately, Thoresen didn’t have to think about the dental bill. He has got a private sponsor, who is particularly keen to help. – I don’t know what I would do without him. He suggests that I can prioritize wrestling, and there is never a time during the year when I can put my wrestling shoes on the shelf for a bit, says Thoresen. – Good teeth Surgeon Shoresh Afnan, who has over 50,000 followers on his Instagram profile, says that it was by chance that the duo met – and have now become good friends. MAKE SMILE, NOT WAR: Surgeon Shoresh Adnan, here from a lecture. Photo: PRIVATE He has stepped in as a private sponsor for the switcher, who will say that Thoresen saved expenses of over NOK 100,000. – We were blown away when we saw him the first time. He was very sorry, and knew that this was going to cost. We know that the sport he is involved in will not make him rich, says Afnan to news. The surgeon thinks Thoresen is a hero who walks without teeth, but at the same time is aware that it is time to plug the hole in the front. – It’s okay to get some teeth. He is young, wants to smile and check up on ladies. Then I think he will benefit from getting some teeth, says Afnan to news. A long season is coming to an end. The work is done. Now the highlight of the year remains, the WC in wrestling, and Thoresen will give it his all. He adds that two teeth are pulled up, then Thoresen gets to decide when one tooth is in place. – I admire Morten for what he is, and that he dares to break the norms in society. That’s why I will never shape his decisions, he says and insists: – He is the one who decides, but I think that when he gets one tooth, he also gets a taste for the other. I’m not worried, in that sense, he says further. Thoresen himself knows that something must be done. – I can’t bite through food, as it is now. If I grin when I eat a breakfast mix, it squirts out, because I still have a hole regardless of whether I close my mouth. It is a complete crisis, he says. WINNER CALL: Thoresen gives everything on the wrestling mat. It often results in blows, cracks and blood. PS! Warns against strong images further down in the case. – About 40,000 of them are students, who are busy learning, while perhaps 10,000 of them are “specialists”, who find enjoyment in watching this, says Afnan. Several of the videos have been seen by over 100,000, and are videos based on cases with educational content, so that young students, dentists, medical students and surgical students can follow along. He thinks it is good to help others who do not have the same educational opportunities as in Norway. – I think it’s nice, and I want other people to learn, he says. The WC in wrestling takes place in Belgrade, Serbia, from 10 – to 18 September. news broadcasts the championship. CENSORED: Such pictures adorn the Instagram account of Shoresh Afnan.
