There has been great dissatisfaction with the pension scheme in the Armed Forces. The backdrop for the dispute is that the pension for officers has only been calculated on the basis of a low basic salary, without including the supplements. Two former employees have taken legal action against the State Pension Fund. In May, the defense officers won in the Gulating Court of Appeal that income in the form of supplements should be considered as a basis for pension. The state appealed the decision, and on Thursday the appeals committee in the Supreme Court decided that they will process the case again. The employees have previously won in the Social Security Court, but the state also appealed these decisions.
