The State must compensate the victims demonstrating moral anxiety damage for having been exposed to the chlordecone, a pesticide used in Guadeloupe and Martinique having massively polluted soils and water, decided, Tuesday, March 11, the Paris administrative court of appeal.
Entry by nearly 1,300 applicants, the Court estimated that “The State has committed faults by granting sales authorizations” of Chlordecone despite the alerts on his harmfulness, and which he had to repair, “When demonstrated, the moral prejudice of anxiety of people permanently exposed to this pollution”.
