A police officer was injured in connection with a weapon being emptied of ammunition during a duty on Saturday evening. The person has been taken to hospital and, according to the Bureau’s knowledge, should be awake and conscious. – The service weapon involved has been secured and Kripos has been requested to assist the Bureau with forensic investigations at the scene. The Bureau aims to carry out one or more interviews during the weekend, they write in the press release. Operations manager Alexander Østerhaug confirms to news that the incident happened at the synagogue in Oslo. – I can confirm that it was during a guard duty at the synagogue, he says. – It appears that there has been an accident in connection with an official discharging a weapon. The person was taken to hospital and is being looked after by the health service. They are also followed up by the employer, says Østerhaug.
