July 10, 2022 at 14:02 The SAS pilots will no longer pick up charter tourists SAS Pilot Group (SPG) says they will have to end the exemption for charter flights after the last flight today. On Thursday, SAS and the striking pilots agreed on exemptions from the strike to bring home stranded charter tourists who have few or no other transport options. – We have also agreed that SAS can reallocate other of its own capacity for this purpose. Unfortunately, SAS has once again shown to be an unreliable contractual partner, which does not practice the agreement as intended, they write in a press release. The pilot associations say they were surprised to see that SAS set up flights to Rhodes, Crete, Larnaca, Palma and Split, places where they believe there are alternative itineraries. – SPG’s members have over the weekend contributed to flying home passengers, but SAS’s lack of respect for us as a counterparty means that we unfortunately feel compelled to end the dispensation for charter flights after the last flight today, Sunday 10 July.
