The refugee family in Senja has been given a municipality of residence – news Troms and Finnmark

In several articles, news has told about the Kurdish refugee family from Senja who have not been settled after six years with a residence permit in Norway. They have three multi-disabled children, who require round-the-clock supervision and care. The family has lived in Senja municipality, but no municipality has agreed to settle their three disabled children. Several have been asked, but all have declined. At the beginning of July, one son died, and the lack of a settlement municipality meant that the family decided to bury him in Iraq. Now the wait is over. The family has been assigned Oslo municipality as the municipality of residence. – Joy in grief The family is now in Iraq to bury their son.
