President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva says Bolsonaro supporters inside made it possible for rioters to storm Congress, the Supreme Court and the presidential palace in Brasília last Sunday. He says no signs of a break-in have been found, and concludes that someone has opened the doors for the rebels. A total of 1,500 people were arrested after the storming on Sunday, which led to extensive destruction of the buildings, fixtures and works of art. Officials blame Lula’s supporters of the former president for opening the doors to the rebels. He says that those responsible must be found and punished. – All employees must be investigated to find out who made the storming possible, he says according to the BBC. Lula has blamed the security guards for incompetence and the military police for having contributed to the uprising. On Thursday, he told journalists during a press conference in Brasília that he did not want Bolsonaro supporters in the presidential palace. – How can I have someone to watch my door who might come and shoot me?, Lula asked.
