Trump called Støre just after 7.30pm on Monday evening. — I repeated my congratulations to Trump on his election victory. In the conversation, we both emphasized the close cooperation between Norway and the USA. We also talked about the northern regions and our cooperation on defense and trade. The war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East were also topics of conversation, says Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. The press release states that Støre and Trump agree to keep in touch about this and other international issues. They also agreed to meet when the opportunity arises.
