In Trondheim, in the last 24 hours, seven overdoses of a narcotic substance that is in circulation in the city have been registered – It is a substance similar to GHB. We don’t have the substance physically, so we haven’t been able to take any analysis on it, so we can’t say with certainty what kind of substance it is, says operations manager Ketil Stene in Trøndelag police district. The police are now sending more patrols out into the city to talk to people in the drug environment and warn against the drug that is in circulation. – We are trying to map and stop the distribution now, says Stene. No deaths All seven who have overdosed have been sent to St. Olav’s hospital. It is not known how they are doing. – No deaths have been recorded, says Stene. The police work together with Trondheim municipality’s Health and overdose team to warn the drug environment. – I encourage people who know anything, or have any of this substance, to contact the police as soon as possible.
