At the end of April, it became known that the police had brought charges against Gjert Ingebrigtsen for abuse in close relationships, against one of the victims in the case. The remaining cases investigated by the police were dropped. The cases against five of the victims were dismissed on the basis of the evidence, and one of the cases was dismissed on grounds of limitation. Four of the dismissed cases were appealed, including the one that was time-barred. The complaints were sent to the public prosecutor on 31 May. The public prosecutor upheld all but one of the charges. It was sent back to the Sør-West police district with orders for further investigative steps. Here, a new questioning of the victim was made.
