The police believe the five people are connected to a criminal network in south Oslo. They write that in a press release. All five people are young men aged 17 to 19. – The police have targeted and intensified efforts related to youth crime and criminal networks in priority areas in Oslo east and the city centre, says Sigve Bolstad, assistant unit leader in unit east. The persons who have been arrested are charged with the sale and storage of drugs, and the storage of weapons and machetes/knives. During the operation, the police seized several weapons, drugs and money. – We take this type of crime seriously and it is important for us to investigate and clarify serious criminal matters linked to criminal environments. These are environments with complex challenges, says Bolstad. Three of the people were produced for remand on Thursday afternoon. All three were imprisoned for four weeks with a ban on letters and visits.
