The police already suspected in June that Foxtrot was in Trondheim – news Trøndelag – Local news, TV and radio

In September, it became known that Swedish Foxtrot was behind kidnapping and extortion linked to an artist in Trondheim on the night of 9 May. At the same time, Kripos confirmed that the Foxtrot network operates in several places in Norway. In addition, there was chaos in the gang milieu in Sweden. But already in May, the police in Trøndelag suspected that the extortion could be linked to the criminal network. – It has been part of the investigation from the start, says police investigation manager Øyvind Jørgensen in Trøndelag police district. They then contacted the police in Sweden to coordinate arrests in the case. Coordinated arrest in Norway and Sweden The police in Trøndelag had planned to take action against the accused in the case simultaneously and wanted to coordinate this with the actions in Sweden. – We want to arrest several people in Norway and in Sweden at a fairly similar time, explains Jørgensen. In an invitation from the police in Trøndelag, dated 1 June, Swedish police are asked to search the house of a Swedish man. The man is charged with organized aggravated robbery and has been in custody since he was extradited from Sweden in May. In addition, the police in Norway request that the relevant person’s phone, computer, tablet and the like be confiscated. This is what the police in Trøndelag thought they were in a hurry to do. The actions entailed arresting those involved, searching the places the target disposes of and digital units. Kidnapping and aggravated robbery A total of six people are charged with aggravated robbery by the artist from Trønder. Another person is charged with fraud and money laundering in connection with the robbery. The artist was blackmailed and has paid a considerable sum of money to a third party, the incitement states. Those charged will be brought to court in April. In addition, four people are charged with abducting the artist’s son for several hours in Trondheim this spring. They are also charged with complicity in the robbery of the artist. The trial against the four starts in Trøndelag District Court on Monday 11 December. Extra security measures during the trial It has been decided that there will be extra security measures during the trial. Persons who have been convicted of a crime in the last five years may not enter the courtroom. In addition, everyone who is allowed to enter the courtroom must go through a metal detector, similar to the security check at an airport. The trial will also be held behind closed doors. – It is no secret that it is because of the connection to the Foxtrot network, says Jørgensen. He explains that it is not unusual to have extra security measures and that the police are present in court cases. At the same time, he points out that this has been a priority matter for the police in Trøndelag. – This has been an issue that has been important to prioritize, precisely because of the connection to organized criminal networks. We want to prevent them from operating in our district. URIX September 27: Rawa Majid, known as the Kurdish fox, is one of Sweden’s most wanted gang leaders. His network has been linked to several murders and explosions in Sweden recently. Who is he and how does he work?
