The deceased believed the police had not done enough The murder case in Nes in Ådal has received a lot of attention. The deceased himself told about a number of threats he was said to have been subjected to before he died. He stated that the police had not done enough with the accusations he made, and therefore chose to tell his story to the journalists behind the podcast “Interrogated”. The interview took place just six days before he was found dead in a car. Timeline: Jonas Aarseth Henriksen told that he lived in fear for the last two years. A series of mysterious events happened to Henriksen before he was found murdered on Thursday 17 August. – Many people do not want to talk to the police, but with us The creators of the podcast say it was important to get the podcast out because they wanted to honor the wishes of the deceased. – It has obviously engaged a lot of people, and we chose to release these episodes, because we wanted to honor Jonas’s wish. He wanted this story out and we want to do what we can to get answers. Moldver says they know from experience that they can get answers and tips via the podcast which helps to solve the case. They have also previously given raw material from the interview with the murdered person to the police. However, they say there are more tips that have come in that they don’t want to share. – We have other information afterwards in the form of tips from people who have called in, many do not want to talk to the police, but they think it is ok to talk to us. The family has approved Producer Lars Christian Nygaardstrand tells news that they have been in contact with the family of the deceased, who think it is good that the story is used in the podcast. – They were also very interested in what kind of information could come out afterwards, with the public in mind. Unanswered murder cases engage many people, says Nygaardstrand, who believes that this is also what makes many people listen to this particular podcast. – When we have something so extraordinary just days before he was killed, it is probably something that engages many people. – Don’t want to disturb the police Their hope is that the podcast can help to find answers to some of the many unanswered questions. – This will probably not be our last trip to Hønefoss, there are many loose threads to untangle, many tracks to follow. However, this is not coming out in podcast form yet. – We do not want to disturb the police with what we publish, but we hope to be able to contribute.
